Malta made their first appearance at Eurovision in 1971, and have been participating consecutively since 1991. They have never won, but have come close on 3 occasions, achieving 2nd place in 2002 and 2005, and 3rd in 1992 & 1998.

Worst Result: Failed to qualify – 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2017 & 2018, 2022 // Last – 1971, 1972 & 2006
