Last year, the team at Phoenix decided on our favourites from each semi-final and we’re doing it again this year! In what’s predicted to be a very close semi-final between the 15 countries, these are our qualifiers in a random order!

All of the following photos are taken by Corinne Cummings and Sarah Louise Bennett.

Lithuania 🇱🇹 Silvester Belt – Luktelk

Our first qualifier is no surprise, Silvester won the hearts of everyone in Phoenix winning the semi-final scoring a Top 3 result with everyone!

Australia 🇦🇺 Electric Fields – One Mikali (One Blood)

Ukraine 🇺🇦 ALYONA ALYONA & Jerry Heil – Teresa & Maria

Another huge fan favourite, Ukraine was another one of our safe qualifiers scoring points from everyone and being awarded 12 points from four contributors along the way.

Ireland 🇮🇪 Bambie Thug – Doomsday Blue

Everyone’s favourite Irish witch has safely qualified for the grand final! While it’s proved to be a divisive song amongst our panel, Bambie has finished in a respectable 6th place.

Poland 🇵🇱 LUNA – The Tower

Slovenia 🇸🇮 Raiven – Veronika

Despite the bookmakers putting this outside of qualification, Raiven has managed to put the Phoenix team under her spell and she’s safely qualified for the final scoring points off everyone!

Serbia 🇷🇸 Teya Dora – Ramonda

Portugal 🇵🇹 Iolanda – Grito

Another song that currently isn’t predicted to be a qualifier according to the odds but Iolanda wowed enough members of Phoenix to make the final thanks to her powerful vocals!

Croatia 🇭🇷 Baby Lasagna – Rim Tim Tagi Dim

Cyprus 🇨🇾 Silia Kapsis – Liar

And last but not least, Silia has made it to the final just scraping through finishing in 10th place! Will she be able to make it to the final in May? We’ll have to wait and see!

The NQ Results:

11th: Finland 🇫🇮 23 points

12th: Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 20 points

13th: Iceland 🇮🇸 17 points

14th: Moldova 🇲🇩 11 points

15th: Luxembourg 🇱🇺 6 points

You can find the full results of our team below:

Despite winning our poll last year, Finland has failed to qualify despite being highly expected to safely qualify in May while Azerbaijan finished just behind them. Unfortunately for Hera, the Phoenix team did not feel an Icelandic qualification coming and finished in 13th place. Moldova finished in 14th and returnees Luxembourg finished in last place.
