Saturday 20th January will see eight more artists compete for the chance to represent Lithuania at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest after Silvester Belt and VB Gang became the first two artists to qualify for the final of Eurovizija.LT.

In addition to tonight’s hopefuls, Ieva Zasimauskaitė (who represented Lithuania in 2018 with her song ‘When We’re Old‘) will perform as tonight’s interval act and will also be part of the jury which will determine the two qualifiers alongside the televote. Read on to learn more about the artists competing tonight!

Andrius Pojavis – Sing Me a Hug

Eurofans will undoubtedly recognise Andrius Pojavis from 2013 when he completed in Malmö with the song ‘Something‘, placing 22nd in the final. Since then he released his second studio album ‘Seven‘ in 2016, with the single ‘Air of the Place‘ enjoying further success in Lithuania. He also released the EP ‘Sei‘ in 2018. Could he be making a return trip to Malmö, over ten years later, with his song ‘Sing Me a Hug‘? You’ll have to wait until tonight to hear the song but you can remind yourself of his last Eurovision appearance below:

ELEY – Rock My Body

Eglė Jakštytė, known as ELEY, is a singer who won the talent show Music Academy 2 in 2009. Since then she has attempted to represent Lithuania at Eurovision on a number of occasions, the most recent being with ‘This is My Life‘ in 2018, which placed 9th in Heat 3. Can she be more successful with her 2024 effort ‘Rock My Body‘? You can listen to it below:

Deividas Valma – Blood on Your Hands

Deividas Valma has enjoyed success on TV talent shows, having reached the finals of The X Factor twice and the semi-finals of The Voice of Lithuania. He is a huge Eurovision fan, having performed Conchita Wurst‘s ‘Rise Like a Phoenix‘ and Kristian Kostov‘s ‘Beautiful Mess‘ during his time on The X Factor. He is making his Eurovizija.LT debut with the song ‘Blood on Your Hands‘ which he described as being about “a tragic love that is not necessarily a romantic love which failed due to lack of responsibility for one’s actions” in an interview with ESC United. AISTÈ – We Will Rule the World

Aiste Gaizauskaite, who goes by AISTÈ, is a singer who divides her time between London and Vilnius. She is best known for performing soul music and has drawn comparisons to Adele and Joss Stone. Her debut album ‘The Theory of Everything‘ was released in May last year, of which she explained to music publication The Playground, “I hope that listeners will find comfort and inspiration in my music and that it will serve as a reminder of the infinite possibilities that exist within us all.” Can her Eurovizija.LT entry ‘We Will Rule the World‘ have similar results tonight?

Žalvarinis – Gaudė vėjai

Žalvarinis (whose name roughly translates as ‘brazen’) are a folk rock band who have been making music together since 2001. They were originally formed as a merger between the pagan metal group Ugnėlakis and the pagan folk group Kūlgrinda. Both folk and metal influences are apparent in their entry ‘Gaudė vėjai‘ (‘The Winds Were Blowing‘). Could it bring them success tonight?

Paula Urbana – It Is What It Is

Paula Urbana is an up and coming singer who released her debut single ‘Don’t F With My Heart‘ in 2019. She has since gone on to release the 2023 singles ‘You Told Me So‘ and ‘Post Humanity‘ in 2023. You can listen to her Eurovizija.LT debut ‘It Is What It Is‘ below:

Thomas G – Us

Another artist making his Eurovizija.LT debut is Thomas G, whose real name is Tomas Gailiūnas. Having only started releasing music in 2023, all eyes will be on Thomas to see how he fares with his song ‘Us‘. You can listen to the song below:

Multiks – Vėjas galvoje

Closing tonight’s show are Multiks, a pop rock band who have completed to represent Lithuania at Eurovision on a number of occasions, including last year with the song ‘London‘ which placed 13th in the first heat. They will be hoping to have more success this year with the Lithuanian language song ‘Vėjas galvoje‘ (‘Wind in the Head’) which you can listen to below:
