As we count down the hours left until the Eurovision Grand Final at Liverpool, the team at Phoenix have been voting for our favourite songs from the two semi-finals! Those qualifiers, as well as the Big 5 and hosts Ukraine compete in our Grand Final and in this article, you can find out who has won with the Phoenix team!

Now you know who’s qualified, this is our Top 10!
=9th: Italy 🇮🇹 – Marco Mengoni – Due Vite: 35 points
Marco Mengoni represented Italy in 2013 and finished in the Top 10. In 2023, he’s done it again, scoring 35 points with his ballad ‘Due Vite’.
=9th: Norway 🇳🇴 Alessandra – Queen Of Kings: 35 points
Alessandra was a safe qualifier in our semi-final and she’s once again scored consistently to finish in the overall Top 10 with us. Will she be able to carry her TikTok hit ‘Queen Of Kings’ to the Top 10 in Liverpool? We won’t have long to find out!
8th: France 🇫🇷 La Zarra – Évidemment: 38 points
She blew fans away with her rehearsal and La Zarra also impressed us too. The disco chanson song scored 1 set of 12 points to help her finish in 8th place.
7th: Latvia 🇱🇻 Sudden Lights – Aijā: 41 points
While it won’t be performing in the actual final, Latvia excelled in our Phoenix results. ‘Aijā’ safely made it to our final and Sudden Lights scored 2 sets of 12 points to put them in the Top 10.
6th: Spain 🇪🇸 – Blanca Paloma – EAEA: 47 points
She’s dazzled fans across Europe, with her new-flamenco song ‘EAEA’ showcasing her powerful vocals, and while it’s been divisive amongst our team, Blanca Paloma has finished a respectable 6th position.
5th: Austria 🇦🇹 TEYA & SALENA – Who The Hell Is Edgar?: 68 points
Starting off the Top 5, we have Austria. ‘Who The Hell Is Edgar?’ has been one of the most talked about songs of the season. It has had lots of praise from the Eurovision sphere, thanks to its catchy look and clever lyrics. This praise also includes the Phoenix team and we’ve ranked it in 5th place overall.
4th: Slovenia 🇸🇮 Joker Out – Carpe Diem: 71 points
Ever since the announcement that indie rock band Joker Out were representing Slovenia, fans were very excited and hopeful they’d give us a great song. They did not disappoint. ‘Carpe Diem’ proved to be very popular with Phoenix as well, scoring a mark from most of our team and securing them a 4th place finish.
3rd: United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Mae Muller – I Wrote A Song: 75 points
The majority of us in Phoenix are British so it’s no surprise that so many of us our supporting our own entry. Mae Muller has also had a lot of love from the Eurovision community too! According to the My Eurovision Scoreboard App, where thousands of fans have been voting, Mae, at the time of writing is in 8th place. In our final she placed 3rd.
2nd: Sweden 🇸🇪 Loreen – Tattoo: 110 points
Throughout the season, there have been two songs on everyone’s minds, ‘Tattoo’ and ‘Cha Cha Cha’. Both songs are big favourites to take the Eurovision title. In the Phoenix Semi-Final 1 vote, it was very close between Sweden and Finland with Sweden just missing out on 1st place. For the final, the same happened, Although Sweden finished in 2nd place, ‘Tattoo’ scored the maximum number of points from five of us. Will Loreen be able to do what only one other artist has done before and win Eurovision twice?
1st: Finland 🇫🇮 Käärijä – Cha Cha Cha: 123 points
We have a winner! He’s been one of the most beloved contestants this year and Käärijä from Finland is this year’s Phoenix Eurovision winner! He scored five sets of 12 points and scored a point from all but two of us. Will the rest of Europe be cha cha cha-ing to his song in Liverpool and will he be lifting the Eurovision trophy? We’ll soon know the answer!
The Full Results
Serbia, Australia, and Malta complete the left-hand side of the board, while Germany finishes in last place. Our most surprising result is the hosts Ukraine finishing in the bottom 5, despite being tipped to do very well in the odds.
Remember, these are only our opinions and there are only fifteen of us who voted in this poll, but there will be millions voting across the world for their favourite songs! While we don’t know who will win next week, one thing is for sure: it’s going to be an amazing show in Liverpool and we can’t wait to see who will win Eurovision!
