Israeli broadcaster KAN has announced today (July 11th 2022) that Noa Kirel will represent the nation at Eurovision 2023.
The confirmation comes after Noa was selected through a professional committee, who took into account 78 names “with rich and proven experience in standing in front of a large audience” prior to her being chosen.
Noa Kirel is a 21-Year-Old singer, actress and TV host from Ra’anana. She launched her music career in 2015 after releasing her first single ‘Medabrim?’ on YouTube, and since then has won multiple MTV European Music Awards for ‘Best Israeli Act’. Noa is best known for her hit songs such as ‘Drum’, ‘Meusharim’, ‘Thought About That’ and ‘Trilili Tralala’, and has 4 number one singles.
Israel failed to qualify for the first time since 2013 in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, with Michael Ben David’s ‘I.M’ placing 13th in the semi final. Will Noa be their answer to success?
