With 6 more acts taking to the stage in Gothenburg, let’s find out more about their performances!

Nomi Tales – ‘Funniest Thing’

Opening Heat 2 is Nomi Tales, with her fantasy-inspired entry ‘Funniest Thing’. Starting solely lit by a spotlight and surrounded by smoke, Nomi is draped in a white veil, which she removes for the first chorus. The LED screens show a forest scene, with an orange sun-light glowing between the trees. She’s standing on a bridge that extends from the LED screen with six dancers surrounding her doing some pretty intricate interpretive dance. The bridge sees the lighting and LED turn red and the dancers move into the middle – surrounding Nomi, who sits for the majority of the last chorus – standing just at the very end. Her vocal is perfect, and Nomi commands the stage in each run through.

SCHALGERZ – ‘Don Juan’

It should be no surprise that SCHLAGERZ are bringing, well, schlager and dansband to Melodifestivalen – and they do it right here in Heat 2! With a glittering LED, pink and white lights and three platforms, ’Don Juan’ is such an uplifting song and performance – boosted by the fun all three women are having on stage. Paired with a key change and some impressive pyro, a classic dansband entry is always welcome in Melodifestivalen and will surely get the crowd dancing along.

Erik Segerstedt – ‘Show Me What Love Is’

Erik Segerstedt may be taking on Melfest for the first time solo, but he’s not alone on stage. Joined by a full band for ‘Show Me What Love Is’, Erik plays the piano as he performs his entry, with the LED screen showing waves of blue, pink, purple and red on a black background. This has a strong vocal and a chorus that really commands the arena in Gothenburg, and a big clap-along section in the bridge to get the crowd going. He leaves his piano for the final chorus, with the entire band joining him as they walk through the crowd and head to the B Stage to finish the song, surrounded by colourful confetti.

Klara Hammartsröm – ‘On and On and On’

Klara Hammarström is back! She begins her ‘On and On and On’ performance lying on top of a white pillar, with the LED also showing tall pillars and clouds. The lights sync with the beat of the song as we get to the first chorus, where the hands of the dancers appear to cover Klara before the shot zooms out to show them surrounding her. As we fully get into the chorus, Klara is alone on stage again, now kneeling on the pillar. The dancers return to turn her around for the second verse followed by the camera – before making her face the audience for the second chorus, where she gets off and walks towards the crowd. In the bridge, she lies on the stage, as the lights go red and we get some frantic camera shots – aligning with the music – before focusing back on Klara, still laying down, zooming out to show a twisting clock on the floor LEDs. The song slows down, gradually building up for one final big chorus with some powerful notes required by Klara – who held back in her rehearsal – ending with her as a silhouette under spotlights.

Fredrik Lundman – ‘The Heart Of A Swedish Cowboy’

Fredrik Lundman is bringing country to Heat 2 with ‘The Heart Of A Swedish Cowboy’. Starting with a black background with confetti pieces falling and Fredrik lit solely by an orange light, it then transitions to show a forest across the LED which changes to different scenery throughout. The song starts off slow, but speeds up as it progresses. The focus of the entire performance stays on Fredrik, who moves to the front of the stage for the last chorus – his wealth of performing experience really shines through here, with his vocal remaining on point throughout his rehearsals. Jay Smith made it to the final last year with his country track ‘Back To My Roots’, so could Fredrik do the same?

Kaliffa – ‘Salute’

The key words for this performance of ‘Salute’ are colourful, bright and anthemic. With the side LED showing neon palm trees, the lights change from pink, white, purple, green and orange for the entire performance. Kaliffa starts behind a patterned box, standing on it for the second verse and chorus. Joined by 7 dancers, this entire 3 minutes on stage is joyous – and with a whole load of confetti and a key change at the end, this perfectly rounds off the second heat of Melodifestivalen 2025.
