Last night, the remaining 14 acts performed their entries for a second time, meaning now everyone has performed twice on the Ariston stage. At the end of the show, the radio jury and televote combined to present a top five for the evening, in no particular order, which was as follows:

As previously mentioned, Brunori Sas was the only artist to perform last night who also made the top five in night one, the last time he performed. Therefore, we can deduce that he is well liked by all voting demographics, and likely to get a good placing on Saturday. For everyone else, it may still be all to play for.
Furthermore, another result took place last night, as Sanremo Giovani reached its conclusion. After weeks of shows and duels between the artists, Settembre emerged victorious with his song ‘Vertebre‘, beating Alex Wyse into 2nd place with ‘Rockstar‘. Again, neither artist is eligible for Eurovision 2025 as Sanremo Giovani has been made a standalone contest this year, but it is worth keeping an eye on them for the near future, as no doubt they are destined for great careers.

If you missed any performances from last night or would like to rewatch any, they are all available for viewing on the Rai Youtube channel.
Onto tonight, it’s covers night! And in a change from other years, the results of tonight’s show will not be added to the overall score in the final, meaning covers night is entirely standalone. However, it is still worth watching, as the show promises to be great fun, providing a stress relief before tomorrow, and creating some iconic moments.
During the show, each act will perform either with each other, or with an Italian/international guest, covering an Italian/international song of their choice. Here’s what we can expect from this evening.

Two-time Sanremo winner, and Eurovision 2019 and 2022 Italian representative Mahmood co-hosts the show tonight, alongside comedian, actress, and presenter Geppi Cucciari, with the former giving a grand medley performance of his hits. Musical duo Benji & Fede will perform ‘Dove e quando’ on the Suzuki Stage in Piazza Colombo. Academy award winning actor, comedian, screenwriter, and director Roberto Benigni is also a guest for the evening. Actor Paolo Kessisoglu and his daughter Lunita Kessisoglu will perform a ‘Paura di me’ addressing youth issues, and footballer Edoardo Bove will also make an appearance.
Voting
Through the night, all three voting demographics will have their say, with the press jury and radio jury both contributing 33% each, and the televote making up the remaining 34%. At the end of the show, a ranking will be drawn up, and a winner will be presented. Again as a reminder, this ranking will not be added to the previous three going forward into tomorrow.
There we have our preview for the acclaimed covers night! You can watch the show on Rai 1 or Rai Play, from 20:40 CET to 1:30 CET. Again, the schedules have been fairly reliable so far thanks to Carlo Conti wanting to not overrun, so we can assume it is accurate tonight too. As always after the show, Alessandro Cattelan will host the Dopofestival if you’d like to continue watching.
