The hosts for Sanremo 2025 night two, Carlo Conti, Bianca Balti, Cristiano Malgioglio, and Nino Frassica - L'Eco di Bergamo

Sanremo 2025 is officially underway! All 29 songs were performed for the first time last night, and now they are all available to stream and watch on YouTube.

Throughout the show, the press jury scored each song on a scale from one to ten, and a combined result was tallied overall. Only the songs that made the top 5 have been made public, in a random order. So we donโ€™t know yet who currently stands in 1st place or who stands in 5th. This is the top 5 (again, in random order) going into the next couple of nights:

Importantly, only the press jury voted last night, a demographic that accounts for just a third of the results, so plenty can still change. If you missed any performances or would like to see any again, you can find them all over on the Rai Youtube channel.

Now, let’s move on to what we can expect from tonight.

Running order

Rocco Hunt will open the show with ‘Mille vote ancora’ – Quotidiano Nazionale

Sanremo Giovani

The finalists of Sanremo Giovani 2025, alongside Carlo Conti, and host of the previous Giovani shows Alessandro Cattelan – Xtracult.it

You may be wondering what happened to Sanremo Giovani this year, given in the last few years the final has taken place in December with the winners going on to compete alongside the big names in the main contest. This year, Carlo Conti has re-introduced the show as being separate. After weeks of duels between the shortlisted artists, four remain: Alex Wyse, Maria Tomba, Settembre, and Vale LP & Lil Jolie (from left to right in the photo above, stood in-between Alessandro Cattelan and Carlo Conti). They will each compete in two duels tonight, with one act from each going on to battle it for an overall winner in tomorrow’s show. Here are the duels for tonight:

Sanremo Giovani 2025 duels on the second night – Rai

Alex Wyse with ‘Rockstar‘ will go up against Vale LP & Lil Jolie with ‘Dimmi tu quando sei pronto per fare l’amore‘ (Tell me when you’re ready to make love), and Maria Tomba with ‘Goodbye (voglio good vibes)‘ (Goodbye (I want good vibes)) will contend against Settembre with ‘Vertebre‘ (Vertebrae).

Notably, none of these songs or artists are in contention to win Sanremo overall. However, it is worth keeping an eye on these artists, as they very well could compete in an upcoming Sanremo edition in the near future, with numerous artists in recent years journeying from competing in Sanremo Giovani to becoming a prominent artist in the Italian music scene.

Special guests

Damiano David – Anne Barson, Abaca Press

Carlo Conti will host tonight alongside supermodel Bianca Balti; music artist and TV personality Cristiano Malgioglio, and actor, comedian, and TV personality Nino Frassica. Damiano David, frontman of Sanremo 2021 and Eurovision 2021 winning band Mรฅneskin, is the main guest of the evening, performing his song ‘Born With A Broken Heart‘. BigMama will also perform her entry from last year ‘La rabbia non ti basta‘ on the Suzuki Stage in Piazza Colombo. Furthermore, the casts of Follemente, Belcanto and Champagne will promote their films and TV series. Finally, figure skater Carolina Kostner will promote the 2026 Winter Olympics, taking place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Voting

Tonight’s results will be decided by the radio jury (50%) and televoting (50%). This is the first time both demographics will have their say, so we will be able to have a clearer picture of who may challenge for the win on Saturday. At the end of the show, a provisional ranking will be drawn up, and like yesterday, we will see the top five but in a random order.

That overall concludes our preview for tonight! You can once again watch on Rai 1 or Rai Play from 20:40 CET, with the show scheduled to end at 1:10 CET. Last night’s show finished 20 minutes early (yes, really), so potentially an early finish is again possible. In any event, overrunning is unlikely. Once again, Alessandro Cattelan will host the Dopofestival straight afterwards, so if you want more to watch or can’t sleep, you can continue watching.

Who are you most excited to see perform again? Who caught your attention the most yesterday? Who do you think might win? Let us know!
