Saturday 1st February will see nine more artists compete for the chance to represent Lithuania at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. Here are the six acts who have qualified for the grand final of Eurovizija.LT so far:

  • Anyanya – Running Out of Time
  • Justė Baradulinaitė – Tired
  • Noy – Just Take Me on a Date
  • Petunija – Į saldumą
  • Gøya – After Storm
  • Gebrasy – Whole

This week’s jury will be perfect for sniffing out a potential Eurovision entry, consisting of Eurovision commentator Ramūnas Zilnys and his predecessor Darius Užkuraitis; composer of Lithuanian Eurovision entries ‘This Time’ and ‘When We’re Old’ Vytautas Bikus, and Lithuania’s Eurovision 2022 entrant Monika Liu! Alongside theatre director and singer Kamila Gudmonaite, they will make up 50% of the vote, with the Lithuanian public making up the over 50%. As with previous heats, only two of the nine competing acts will qualify for the final on 15th February.

Let’s meet the nine acts hoping to represent Lithuania in Basel!

Siga – Walking With My Shadow

Siga is the stage name of Sigita Jonynaitė who is best known as the vocalist of Lithuanian folk rock band Žalvarinis. They competed in Eurovizija.LT last year with the song ‘Gaudė vėjai’ (‘The Winds Were Blowing’), making it to the final where they placed seventh overall.

Returning as a solo act, Siga’s 2025 entry ‘Walking With My Shadow’ was inspired by tragic events in the singer’s life. She was inspired to write the song a few years ago, following the loss of a baby. Not long after this, Siga’s husband died while piloting a glider. Despite the tragedy that inspired the song, Siga’s number is a musical jazz-inspired entry that touches upon embracing the darkness inside us all. You can listen to the song below:

Ustin – You’re The One

Justin Mejer, whose stage name is Ustin, is best known as a dancer. In 2019, he competed in the Lithuanian Dance Revolution competition as part of the duo Ustin & Ieva. The pair won the competition and have continued to perform together since, including in his music video for his entry ‘You’re The One’ which you can watch below.

Now Ustin wants to prove he can sing as well as dance. Speaking to LRT, Ustin explained that he had never considered entering Eurovizija.LT until the words and melody for his entry came into his head as he was driving to a dance rehearsal! Will he be the one to represent Lithuania?

Godo Yorke – <3 neparodai

Godo Yorke is the stage name of Goda Sasnauskaitė who has previously attempted to represent Lithuania in 2018 with the song ‘Fire Fountain’. She reached the semi-finals of that year’s national selection although unfortunately did not progress further than this.

Although she did not have any plans to return, Godo Yorke is back, fuelled by the need to share her song ‘<3 neparodai’ (<3 You Don’t Show’) with Lithuania. Speaking to LRT, Godo has said, “This song is about realizing what you are worth, what you don’t want to put up with, and how you have to let go of what doesn’t suit you with love.” Will she make it to the final this time? You can listen to her song below:

Joseph June – Ko man nesakei?

Joseph June is the stage name of Vytautas Gumbelevičius, who has competed to represent Lithuania in both 2022 and 2023 with the songs ‘Deadly’ and ‘Vacuum’ respectively. On both occasions, while he made it out of the heats and into the semi-finals, Joseph unfortunately did not progress to the final. Since then, Joseph has turned to releasing music in Lithuanian as opposed to English, with his latest single pre-Eurovizija being the July 2024 single ‘Šilumos’ (‘Heat’).

Continuing to sing in Lithuanian, Joseph June is back with the single ‘Ko man nesakei?’ (‘What Didn’t You Tell Me?’) When speaking with LRT, Joseph said the song is “about silence, hiding your feelings and the resulting alienation between two people.” Will he be third time lucky? You can listen to the song below:

Amoralu – Freedom

Amoralu (whose real name is Lukrecija Vasiliauskaitė) has loved Eurovision since she was a little girl, telling LRT that she was captivated by Verka Seduchka‘s ‘Dancing Lasha Tumbai’ as a child and even used to make her mother play the “human star song” on repeat! In 2021, at just 17-years-old, Amoralu took part in X Faktorius, placing 2nd in the show’s super-final. She has since gone on to study musical theatre at Vilnius College.

This will be Amoralu’s first time competing in a Eurovision national final and she will be hoping to live out her dream to represent Lithuania with the song ‘Freedom’. Describing the song contest as a “religion” in her household, will her prayers be answered? You can listen to her song below:

Katarsis – Tavo akys

Katarsis are an alternative rock band with post-punk influences consisting of Lukas Radzevičius, Alanas Brasas, Emilija Kandratavičiūtė and Jokūbas Andriulis. Although the band had always joked about submitting a song for Eurovision, 2025 was the first year they decided to seriously try with LRT reportedly extending the submission deadline for Eurovizija.LT to accept them! Could this be a good sign?

Frontman Lukas Radzevičius describes ‘Tavo akys’ (‘Your Eyes’) as the group’s “most pompous, maybe even aggressive, in our group’s work” but it is its unique sound that he believes could give it an edge. It’s certainly true that this is not typical fare from Lithuania at Eurovision but if recent years have shown us anything it’s that taking a risk can really pay off. Will we be seeing Katarsis in Basel? You can listen to their song below:

Liepa – Ar mylėtum?

Liepa has previously competed to represent Lithuania in 2012 and 2015 with the songs ‘Viena’ and ‘Take My Love’. After a long break from the contest, she is trying again, telling LRT that last year was her most creatively successful year yet and that this will probably be her last attempt at performing on the Eurovision stage.

Liepa will be performing the song ‘Ar mylėtum?’ (‘Would You Love?’) which she explains is about:

…a woman’s inner dialogue. What does it mean to change? Does change mean losing who you were, or discovering a new version of yourself? And if those changes change your appearance, energy, desire, will you still be “enough” for another person? The song is an invitation to not be afraid to be yourself, to change and grow, because only true love can make that journey safe and meaningful.

Liepa, LRT.lt

Could this be successful? You can listen to Liepa’s song below:

Mario Junes – Bury Me

Mario Junes is the stage name of Marius Kijauskas who works as a designer at a stage technology company by day! However, in his free time Mario loves to write songs and attempted to represent Lithuania in 2023 with the song ‘Do What You Do’, reaching the final where he placed 9th overall.

Mario is back again with the song ‘Bury Me’ which he told LRT is about a break-up, describing the song as his “purification”. Will we see Mario in the final again:

The Ditties – Zui Zu Bi

The Ditties are a retro jazz band consisting of members Rūta Švipaitė, Rūta Jakulytė-Valčiukienė and Veronika Čičinskaitė-Golovanova. The trio have been singing together for 13 years and have released 3 albums in that time. Their latest album, ‘Estrada’ was released in 2021.

Although they have been around for a long time, The Ditties will be making their Eurovizija.LT debut with the song ‘Zui Zu Bi’. Described by the group as a “positive mood booster”, they deliberately made their hook to be understood no matter the language! Will they be successful? You can listen to the song below:
