Ethnikós Telikós acts as Greece’s selection for Eurovision 2025, with 12 artists hoping to head to Basel this May.

It marks the first Greek selection in over 5 years, and with varying results since choosing to go internal in 2019, they’ll be hoping they have an act that can do just as well, if not better than Marina Satti, who came 11th in 2024.

Here’s all you need to know about the artists taking part!

RIKKI – ‘Elevator (Up and Down)’

Rikki Tzatziki – known simply as Rikki – is an Indie pop star and former member of the electro band Kokyu. He began his career in London, and frequently collaborates with British actor and musician Johnny Labey – including on the 2024 single ‘Smile Again‘. He released his debut EP ‘The Sun Of a Beat’ in 2023. His entry for Ethnikós Telikós is called ‘Elevator (Up and Down)’; you can hear it below!

Thanos Lambrou – ‘Free Love’

Thanos Lambrou began his career at age 12, performing alongside well-known singers and composers such as Mimis Plessas, Haris Alexiou and Lavrentis Mahairitsas before doing dubbing work for Disney. As an adult, he took part in series 7 of The X Factor Greece, reaching the semi-finals. He caught the attention of Panik Records, who signed him soon after – launching his solo career with ‘Ragismena Gyalia‘. His entry for Ethnikós Telikós is called ‘Free Love‘, and is Thanos’ first song in English. You can hear it below!

Kostas Ageris – ‘Gi Mou’

36-year-old Kostas Ageris was born in Kozani, and grew up surrounded by Pontic music, learning from his father Yannis Papageridis. He moved to Athens and has since collaborated with many Greek artists and contributed to TV and film soundtracks. He closely connects his Pontic influences to his projects and musical journey. In 2015, he won The Voice of Greece and released his debut album a year later titled ‘Tou Pontou Panagiain 2016. His song in the Greek selection is called ‘Gi Mou‘, and you can hear it below!

Andy Nicolas – ‘Lost My Way’

Andy Nicolas is a Greek-Danish singer, writer and producer of Canadian descent. He’s worked with former Eurovision stars such as Demy, Helena Paparizou, Tamta and Eleni Foureira – penning hits in both Greece and the Balkans. Born in Odense, Denmark but raised in Rhodes, Andy began performing at age 13 before moving to London to write songs. Upon his return to Greece, he started releasing his own music in both Greek and English, signing to Panik Records shortly after. He’s hopeful his song ‘Lost My Way’ will see him take to the Eurovision stage, and you can hear it below!

Klavdia – ‘Asteromáta’

Klavdia was a finalist on The Voice Greece in 2018 and was mentored by Helena Paparizou, making it to the final. One of Greece’s most promising young artists, her first single ‘Lonely Heart’ was a success – leading her to the MAD Music Awards where she performed with Konstantinos Agyros, Dionysis Savvopoulos and Mattheos Tsachouridis and at the Summer Nostos Festival with Good Job Nicky. She was raised in Aspropyrgos, with her family being of Pontic Origin. Her entry ‘Asteromáta‘ is based on her family’s experiences of fleeing to the Soviet Union and becoming refugees before returning to Greece in the early 1990s, as well as a more general theme of having to uproot your life. It’s one of the favourites to win, and you can hear it below.

Konstantinos Christoforou & Kostas Karafotis – “Parádeisos”

Kostas Karafotis was born in Trikala, and despite taking a degree in medicine at University in Bulgaria he continued his pursuit of music – winning Fame Story 2 in 2004, which launched him to success. His first album was released in 2005, and to date he has released 5 in total – the most recent coming in 2010. He has released singles since, and now teams up in Ethnikós Telikós with Greek-Cypriot singer Konstantinos Christoforou. Konstantinos is no stranger to Eurovision – he’s represented Cyprus on three separate occasions. The first was in 1996 with ‘Mono gia mas’ which came 9th. He returned in 2002 as part of boyband One with ‘Gimme‘, coming 6th, and for the last time in 2006 with ‘Ela Ela‘, placing 18th. He was one of the most successful Greek-Cypriot artists in the 90s and early 00s, and now in 2025 he and Kostas duet for yet another chance to head to the Eurovision stage with ‘Parádeisos‘, and you can hear it below!

Georgina Kalais & John Vlaseros – ‘High Road’

Georgina Kalais made her first album at age 7, and grew up surrounded by music – her father was a guitarist, and she trained in singing, piano and classical, modern and theatre dance. She now performs at private luxury events. John Vlaseros is located in Athens, but not much information is available about his music career before Ethnikós Telikós. Nonetheless, he and Georgina will be performing ‘High Road’ together, and you can hear their song below!

BARBZ – ‘Sirens’

Barbara Argyrou – known as BARBZ – is a 21-year-old Greek-American singer, who is no stranger to competitions. In 2016 she took part in Greece’s Junior Music Stars and in 2019 she competed in Greece’s The Final Four. A year later she auditioned for America’s Got Talent, though despite getting through to the next round, couldn’t continue due to COVID-19 restrictions. Her music mixes the alternative style with pop music, with some of her most popular songs being ‘INSANE‘ and ‘Άσε μας ρε μαμά’. She’ll be hoping ‘Sirens‘ continues her rising success – taking her to the biggest contest in Europe. You can hear her song below!

Evangelia – “Vále”

After multiple attempts to represent Greece at Eurovision, 2025 could finally be Evangelia’s time to step onto that infamous stage. Born in the United States and raised between New Jersey and Crete, she burst onto the scene in 2020 with ‘Páme, Páme’, with her second single ‘Fotiá’ gaining her attention from the public in Greece. She performed the song alongside Eleni Foureira at MADWalk 2021, with the official duet version released shortly after. She’s signed to both Panik Records and Epic Records – making music in both Greek and English to cater to both her home and international audience. One of her biggest songs came in 2024 with ‘Vradia’, and she became a global ambassador for Spotify Equal. Her song ‘Valé’ has been likened to a world cup anthem, and is another one of this year’s favourites. You can hear her song below!

Dinamiss – ‘Odyssey’

Dinamiss is a Pop/R&B/Urban duo made up of sisters Maria & Eleni Dina. They competed in the X Factor 2014 as Dina Way, before changing their name to Dinamiss and finding a new audience through TikTok – leading to the release of their most popular songs to date ‘Taka Taka’, ‘Rio’ and ‘Hangover’. Their Ethnikós Telikós song is called ‘Odyssey’ which you can hear below.

Nafsica – ‘Unhurt Me’

Nafsica Gavrilaki is from Heraklion, and made her musical debut at just age 9 in 2001 when she signed with Universal Music Greece. She moved to New York and graduated with a degree in theatre before winning a Berklee Songwriting Scholarship. Her career has seen make her debut on Broadway and tour with both the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and with John Legend. Now she looks to Eurovision – and is hoping ‘Unhurt Me’ will be the song that takes her to Basel. You can hear it below!

Xannova Xan – ‘Play It!’

Another Greek-American star in Ethnikós Telikós 2025 is Salt Lake City’s Xannova Xan. Her real name is Kalli Therinae and she’s no stranger to Eurovision – representing Greece as part of Alexandros & Kalli in Junior Eurovision 2005, coming 6th. Aside from music she’s also an actress, starring in multiple Made For TV movies – including one of Hallmarks Christmas films in 2018. Now going by her stage name Xannova Xan, she will attempt to represent Greece at the main Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Play It!’, and you can hear it below!

The show will be hosted in Athens by Greece’s Eurovision 2005 winner and 2001 contestant Helena Paparizou, and Eurovision 2004 and 2009’s Sakis Rouvas. The winner will be decided by 50% televote, 25% Greek jury and 25% international jury.

Ethnikós Telikós will take place on the 30th of January 2025 at 8pm CET // 7pm GMT on ERTFlix.
