With national final season well underway, broadcaster YLE has revealed the 7 artists and song titles competing in this yearโs Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) national final for the chance to represent Finland at Eurovision in May.
Narrowed down from 485 submissions, a record for UMK in the current format, the 7 artists competing in this year’s UMK are:
- Neea River – ‘Nightmares’
- Nelli Matula – ‘Hitaammin hautaan’
- Costee – ‘Sekaisin’
- VIIVI – ‘Aina’
- One Morning Left – ‘Puppy’
- Goldielocks – ‘Made Of’
- Erika Vikman – ‘Ich komme’
Songs will be released on weekdays on the UMK YouTube channel at midnight EET in Finland (11PM CET, 10PM GMT) starting this evening with Neea River’s entry, with the final song being released at midnight EET on Friday 17th January (Thursday 16th January, 10PM GMT).
This yearโs UMK final will be held on Saturday 8th February.
