After two heat rounds, we move onto the Semi-Final stage of Pabandom iÅ¡ naujo! (PiN) 2023, where Lithuania will continue to select it’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. We have already seen 30 acts take the stage, so who is currently in a good place heading into this part of the competition? We take a look at some of the artists who have great momentum heading into Saturday night’s show.
RÅ«ta Mur – ‘So Low’
A televote and jury smash in the first heat, RÅ«ta Mur is also storming the YouTube views of all of the Pabandom iÅ¡ naujo! 2023 entries so far. Her striking new romantic vocal tone style with the 80s synth to match has already captured the hearts of the Lithuanian public, will she go all the way to Eurovision? She’s certainly the one to beat right now.
Gabrielius Vagelis – ‘Å auksmas’
A big name in the Eurovision fandom, Gabrielius could be heading for his best PiN result yet if he keeps up this momentum with his contemporary ballad. He will be looking to build on his 5th place finish with the juries in Heat 1 but with a 2nd place result in the televote he has proven he is worth his hype so far in the competition. It’s fantastic to see a Lithuanian language song in this position!
Petunija – ‘Love of My Life’
Another ballad that’s one to keep an eye on is the emotional ‘Love of My Life’. Coming 3rd with the juries in Heat 2, she has certainly convinced them but she will still have to tick the box of the Lithuanian public as she finishes 9th with them last Saturday. However, she is gaining some of the highest views on YouTube from the Heat 2 acts – but will this transform into more public votes? We’ll find out this weekend!
So these are the acts we believe you should take notice of in this week’s show – but there are of course so many more fantastic artists taking to the stage this Saturday night. Tune into the first Semi-Final of Pabandom iÅ¡ naujo! 2023 on Saturday 4th February at 20:00pm CET on the LRT website.
